Founded in 2010 by director Scott Hansen, Digital Thunderdome is a premiere movie company offering high end video production across all avenues. We are located in Atlanta, GA and set up for the feature film Tax Incentive program with a full service studio. Working with a close network of experienced artists and industry professionals, Digital Thunderdome offers a wide range of creative services including, directing, pre-production, writing, camera operation, set design, special effects, makeup, stunt work, post-production editing and rental services at our studio. A one stop shop to either help produce your feature film or make your vision come to fruition.

The founder of Digital Thunderdome, Scott Hansen is a screenwriter & filmmaker from Virginia Beach, VA. He is widely known for directing the award winning Navy Seal Documentary called “Until It Hurts” (2015), and In 2016, he created The Possession Experiment which sold to Eone/Momentum Pictures for domestic and CMG for international distribution and was sold to 35 countries abroad. It also debuted in the top 10 in horror on iTunes for three weeks upon its release. The following year Scott’s most recent film that he produced called “Bully” came out in Dec 2019 with a world wide release. In 2021 Digital Thunderdome released its highly anticipated Halloween movie called “Bad Candy” later this year starring Corey Taylor from the band "Slipknot” and Zach Galligan the star of Gremlins.

In In 2022 DT provided production to a Scott Glenn movie in Tennessee also starring Jim Gaffigan.​
In 2022 Scott and Desiree started pre-production on their new vampire movie “The Virginia Bitches” which is slated to drop halloween 2024.

Digital Thunderdome also produced the return of Shelley Duvall’s film called The Forest Hills which drops mid 2024. We also helped Billy Zane and his directorial Debut called “INT. HALLWAY. NIGHT” come to fruition which releases in 2024.
Scott Hansen also picks up directing reigns for “How The Night Receives Them” starring Andrew Divoff (Lost, Air Force One, Wishmaster) which goes into production mid summer 2024.

As a proud member of the Producer’s Guild of America, Desiree has produced several award winning projects. She’s produced two Independent films, several Netflix series, and a variety of reality projects in between. In addition, Desiree has produced the majority of Digital Thunderdome’s elite projects and Music Videos spanning the last five years.

Scott Hansen has always had a passion for making feature films, and in 2013, he produced his first feature film Monumental. The movie follows two young men as they journey across the U.S.A to honor one's mother by spreading her ashes at monuments she always dreamed of visiting. The film was sold and released on April 4th 2017.

In 2014, Scott produced Until It Hurts, a documentary film about a piece of art commemorating fallen Navy Seals and how it has influenced a community. The film features Navy Seal Dave Hall and Wounded Wear founder, Jason Redman. The film went to be accepted to film festivals across the USA and won best feature film at Cayfest in 2016 and got world wide distribution.

In 2016, Digital Thunderdome created The Possession Experiment which sold to Eone/Momentum Pictures for domestic and CMG for international distribution and was sold to 35 countries abroad. It also debuted in the top 10 in horror on iTunes for three weeks and gross 900k at the worldwide box office. The film begins when a theology student uses a fundraising campaign to attempt to prove if demons exist.The film stars horror icon Bill Moseley (The Devils's Rejects), Greg Travis ( Starship Troopers), and Mark Joy (Dogma). The film was also sold to HULU for a 3 year TV deal.

Also In 2016 Scott jumped into the producers chair and made the feature film “Bully” starring Danny Trejo, Vincent Pastore and Ron Canada along with Disney star Tucker Albrizzi. The film was sold to Gravitas in 2019.

Also in 2019 production is currently running on Scott’s newest feature film a Halloween anthology starring Corey Taylor of SLIPKNOT and Zach Galligan from Gremlins.
Production is also slated to start on Scott’s latest movie called “The Quiet Zone” filming in the mountains of Georgia in early 2021 and has upfront distribution by Raven Banner.

Desiree Connell
Executive Producer
In 2008, Desiree started out in the commercial and advertising world, with a passion in horror and music. It wasn’t long after Desiree and Scott met, that they formed a significant partnership revolving around Digital Thunderdome’s structure and business practices. Since 2014, Desiree has produced over sixty music videos for many of the top record labels in the country. Along with DT’s Music Videos, Desiree has maintained a long standing relationship with multiple networks, producing and suppling production management for several distributors and series television.
Desiree has line produced and post produced assorted full length feature films that have been praised and awarded internationally.
Desiree continues her work in Atlanta, GA and Los Angeles, CA.
